My room: art appreciation
Chatting to my housemate last night, we got onto the unusual topic of whether either of us likes art, and if so, which. I have complicated feelings about art, but supposing I like it, I do know which art I like. I like Anders Zorn.
Since it was a conversation, I felt the need to say more, and went with explaining my preferences. Which turned out to be prohibitively hard. I said that I like the way Zorn doesn’t use many strokes, and yet perfectly gives the impression of the thing. But that sounds like I just have some kind of strokes-per-accurate-impression metric that I am impressed by low numbers on, which sounds pretty unexciting, so hopefully isn’t most of it.
Anyway, here is some good art, according to me. If you have views on why a person would think this was among the best visual art, I’m curious to hear them.
