Not only is evolution really happy with human genes, it has undertaken to build entire ecosystems of what we refer to as "domesticated" plants and animals, based on the premise that humans are so awesome at evolution that going along for the ride is many genes' best plan! Even in other species!
I really have never understood the conceit that evolution was somehow dissatisfied with how few children humans have. We're doing great, guys! The only way this worry makes sense toe is some kind of Idiocracy fear where humans are differentially successful by being less intelligent. Uh, guys, no. That's not what's going on. Evolution is trying to get us as smart as it possibly can, maybe even past the danger limits of our reproductive machinery.
